There seemed to be no real preference for a particular route this morning and so the decision was not taken until the run started. A road run, perhaps at a silly time of day was chosen. Traffic is always likely to be heavier than in the early morning and so the route is not a normal choice for me for a lunchtime run. I experienced difficulty in negotiating the Persley roundabout due to lack of pedestrian facilities or crossings and one unhelpful or perhaps rathe irresponsible driver also gave me little space at one point on the Grandhome country road. Another motorist was clearly agitated by the irresponsibility of this driver and the countryside was subjected to the loud sound of the driver's car horn. It was no less than poor quality driving by someone who showed no consideration for a jogger. Perhaps this young female driver shows little consideration for cyclists either. If that is the case an accident is waiting to happen. It was, however, a reminder for me that road running at that time of day can be hazardous, even on a country road, and even though I follow all the recommended rules. That is the unfortunate truth!
